A Richly Rewarding Experience
"One eats when one is merely hungry. One dines, on the other hand, when one is passionate about life's consummate pleasures", - Count Maximillian de Rostoff.
Fine Dining
Enjoy a sumptuous three, four or seven course Gastronomical delight while absorbing the spectacular views of the harbour, the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the majestic Olympic Mountains. Fine dining stimulates the senses, provokes engaging conversation and reminds us that mere sustenance, while it may temporarily satiate the body, can never fully satisfy the soul.
Cuisine
Grande Chef Edward Tuson has created a superb kitchen that adheres to the principle of the now internationally acclaimed "100 Mile Diet", where every item on the menu, be it from land or sea, is grown, raised or harvested within a 100 mile radius of where it is served.

One need look no further than our own gardens to realize the ultimate expression of this philosophy. The Sooke Harbour House Gardens comprise an edible landscape of over 300 herbs, flowers and vegetables that grace the tables of our patrons daily.
Wine
It has been said that the difference between an eager aficionado and a critical connoisseur depends on their mood. Our selection of 2500 vintages and select blends, over 700 of which are Vancouver Island grown and bottled, are guaranteed to put a smile on the face of even the most cynical palate. The Sooke Harbour House Cellars have garnered the prestigious Wine Spectator's Grand Award every year since 2000 and were recently named the 76th best wine cellar - in the world!

Sinclair Philip, (co-owner, noted epicure and wine ambassador), has assembled a dream team of sommeliers able to articulate the nuances of every vintage on offer and suggest an appropriate pairing to any dish.
